Muftau Adeniyi Ijaiya is a Professor of Finance in the Department of Finance, Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria.  He has served as the Dean of Faculty of Management Sciences, acting Head of the Department and other several positions in the University. Professor Ijaiya has over two decades of teaching, research and administrative experience with the University.

Prof Ijaiya is a member of the University of Ilorin Governing Council representing the Congregation.

Prof Ijaiya is a Fellow of Nigerian Society for Financial Research (FNSFR); Member, Capital Market Academics of Nigeria (CMA); Member, Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA); Member, Board of Trustee, Accounting and Finance, University of Ilorin Alumni November 2003 Set; and Chairman, Board of Trustees, Government Secondary School Agbaja Old Students’ Association..

Professor Ijaiya has successfully completed supervision of more than 15 Ph.D. candidates, supervised several M.Sc. Finance students and has published over 70 articles both at international outlets and national outlets. His research interest is rural finance, microfinance and agricultural finance.
