Biography

Dr Abdulazeez Adewuyi Abdurraheem is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) with background in Economics. He is a graduate of Economics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, where he graduated with B. Sc. (Hons) Economics in 1982. He had his professional accounting training at Akintola Williams & Co. (Chartered Accountants), Lagos. (1986-1991).  He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 and became a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in 2001.  Dr. Abdurraheem has extensive working experience in banking and professional accounting services spanning a period over 20 years before joining the services of the university.

In his pursuit of academic excellence, he had his PhD at the  Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).

He is currently a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Finance. His areas of expertise are in Financial Management, Banking, Islamic Finance and Banking, Audit & Assurance, Taxation.
